Back

I know I said I was on blog leave. But I cannot seem to handle the withdrawal syndrome well. Mababa ang EQ, sorry.

I am literally hyperventilating right now. Must be due to weird, fluctuating asthma attacks since last week, or anxiety attacks since I turned 25, or a crossed of both. I am gradually realizing that maybe, just maybe, I really cannot get by without a release -- even through blogging.

Please pave the way for your resident drama queen.

Random blabbing.

I am not such a fan of regrets. But lately, I have found myself feeling just that. Regret on the things I did, I should have done, I could have wanted to do. Regrets of realizing that I pretty much lost myself in the process of searching. I get freaked out a lot lately. I always feel like merong masamang nangyayari, or mangyayari, it's weird. I jump everytime magbee-beep ang phone ko, and magriring ang landline namin. Getting insomnia attacks are not helping either. Take note, hindi na ko umiinom ng kape nitong lagay na 'to ha? Kelangan ko na ba ng shrink?

I am trying to backtrack. Tracing my way back to where I started loosing myself.

Ako lang ba nakakaranas nito or may Club Praning na I can join somewhere?

Busy Biyernes

I need a de-stress-er. Whoosh!

I discovered something amusing this morning. Boss's wife called me up to nag and scream at me for a pasaway trophy supplier. Pero dahil sa start ng conversation namin, it went like this: "Hi, Armine! How are you today?" "Hi, Ma'am! Doin' good." "Good. Ok, please be patient with me, ok?" "Yes, Ma'am" ...then she screamed and nagged like I never really thought I'd hear the end of it. BUT surprisingly, I was just cool the whole 10 minutes she's blabbing on the phone. Why? Kasi nagpaalam sya beforehand and even requested that I'd be patient with her. Na-realized ko, napaka-easy ko namang tao. Magpaalam ka lang sakin, pwede mo na ko sigawan without hurting my feelings. Hahaha! Either that, or I'm just too exhausted and stressed to even effing care. Natatawa ko kapag naalala ko. I was even saying, "Yes, Ma'am, I understand.. uh-huh..you're right.... yes, Ma'am..." while I was just staring into space and wondering if I should clean my room tomorrow. Harhar!

I have a new phone, people! Yeahbah! Pero hindi sya new as in brand new. It's a hand-me-down phone from my Tito. It's a pink Toshiba 803T. It's actually pretty inconvenient and honestly, not idiot-friendly. Pero dahil my Dad's claiming that it's his gift for me (My Tito gave it for a fee, kumusta naman??), I am liking it. It's the thought that counts, you know? Geeez, I'm such an easy person to please, it will kill me soon. (It's been 5 days since I got it, hindi ko pa rin tapos ilipat lahat ng contacts ko...)

What else? Paalala niyo sakin ang birthday ko! I have this weird feeling na makakalimutan ko siya.

Gusto ko maglaro sa ulan. Mag-hiking. Mag-badminton. Magkipagkwentuhan ng mga gagong jokes (no serious talks please!). Kumain ng dirty ice cream at taho. Maglaro ng langit-lupa or "touch the color."

Ultimate Boredom

i am bored out of my skull. I've been yawning like crazy since I sat down on this chair this morning. So far, I haven't accomplished anything productive either. I can stand next to the door and no one would notice me. My desk calendar has proven to be far more useful than myself. Just when everything is piling up my neck, I am bored. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

These are as random as it can get:

I received two emails (yesterday, then today) from two different people of two different companies from two different countries that told me exactly the same line: "You just made my day, Armine."
Seriously, did I really?
---------
Maybe it's a good thing that I am slowly learning how to appreciate those matters that I tend to push away. Perhaps it's high time for me to let my guard down and welcome even just some of those who have been trying their darn best to let me know they meant well.
---------
Like Lloyd, I am resolving to the power of music to get by. And because of him, naalala ko rin bigla ang music ni Jack Johnson. He was first introduced to me by My Little Ms. Sunshine a.k.a. My Little Ms. Bully a.k.a. Yakie's roommate-turned-my-ex-officemate. My favorite song is his "Banana Pancake."
---------
Current favorite music though is "One Look" by Kjwan. Oh, and I also like Rebound by Silent Sanctuary (pero di ako nakaka-relate :p ) Kuddos to OPM.
---------
Question: Why do we give our all when we do not get anything in return? Why do we even care when in the end the only thing left of us is a restless dignity?
Answer: Maybe because the torture tends to act like a centripetal force. It binds us closer together. At least that's what I see happening.
---------
"Hello, My Dearest Armine" -> That's how Director-chuchubel (exact position not disclosed here) of the Ministry of Health, Bahrain always addresses me in his emails. Funny. :p
---------
The Director-achuchuchu (exact position not disclosed here) of World Health Organization kept apologizing for not getting back to me promptly once and for missing my call. (Hmpf. Sinadya mo eh. Harhar.
----------
Non-Filipino executives of International Organizations are almost always more humble than the Managers of local companies like say..patis. Really. Why? But, hey, who am I to judge? I am merely wondering.
-----------
Is money really the answer? I thought love is. :(
-----------
Work, work, puro na lang work. Wala na akong ibang kwento sa buhay kundi work. Hmpf.
-----------
My family's guilty pleasure is watching PBB. Yes, not even my Dad. V. masa. Haha!
-----------
I wanna runaway. Take me far far away.

Dot

They say that everything happens for a reason so I searched the google almighty with so much hope. But I, for the life of me, couldn't find the purpose of dysmenorrhea. I am half-curled in my seat right now. Typing using only my right hand, while leaning my head on the desk cushioned by my left hand. I always believed that my treshold of pain can accommodate the world's dramas. Now I'm waving my white flag; and the red flag's high and up. (0_O)

Etcetera

Writing
I missed my journal. I'm keeping a journal since I was thirteen. When I was too old to ask questions and too young to know the answers. I miss the feeling of just letting the ink of your pen flow freely with your imagination, frustrations, and dreams. I miss the smell of its recycled paper. I miss the nostalgia I experience as I re-read my entiries til I fall asleep. Meron pa ko dun dried petals of roses I got from boyfriend nung hindi pa kami, at nung kami na.. :) Meron din mga marks of dried tears. Most importantly, makikita mo ang changes of emotions just by looking at my handwritings. Meron ako dung mga entries na kapag nababasa ko eh para kong nata-travel back in time. Ganun kalakas ang nostalgic effect niya. I miss Toffie. I think I must revive our good old relationship.

By the way, secret dream ko ang maging isang novelist. Kahit walang magbabasa ng libro ko, wapakels. Basta gusto ko mag-publish ng book. :)

Social Scale
I deal with the big wigs everyday. My usual correspondences are with CEOs, Executives, whatnots. I was in a trip together with a Vice Chairman of achuchuchu and we met up with a number of company leaders. My colleague was so impressed by them. I don't know what's wrong with me pero I despised moments spent with them. Wala naman akong advocacy na ala-"Erap para sa mahirap" pero people like them just do not inspire me. Maybe, simply because I do not belong in the corporate world. I cringe everytime they brag about their accomplishments, their fame, their fortune. Gusto ko silang ibaba sa pedestal nila and shove reality to their faces. Reality sans titles, money, mansions, and f*cking beach houses.

Pero it's just too depressing to see kung gano ka-extreme ang status ng mga tao. While I personally have friends na hindi man lang makabili ng bagong medyas (at nagta-tyaga sa butas-butas), eh merong mga taong gaya nila na hindi sumasakay sa eroplano unless business class. Haaay, goolai. Can't we just all be equal? (communism campaign ba ito? :p )

Faith
During my trip last week, I borrowed my brother's extra phone kasi kelangan ko ng extra phone for my Vietnam sim card. May time na nagpapaantok ako so I played around with it. I found some music videos nila sa YFC. It moved me to tears. I can't remember when was the last time I felt that much emotions towards a music video. hehe! All of a sudden, I felt a certain feeling of envy sa brother ko. Nakakaingget na at such a very young age eh may ganun na siyang ka-strong na relationship with his Lord. At the same time, of course, sobrang nakaka-proud. I want that. I am dreaming to establish that kind of faith with my Lord and to deliver that sort of service to others who really need it. But I don't know where or how to begin. *sigh* I am as confused now as when I was starting college.

Traveller
Travelling for me is getting yourself emerged sa culture ng place na pinupuntahan mo. Experiencing their traditions, eating their food, learning to understand their language, interacting with the locals. May promise kami sa isa't isa ng brothers ko na sundin ang payo in Anthony Bourdain: "Be a traveller, not a tourist." Sadly, I failed to do that in Vietnam. Yun kasama ko always wanted to visit the malls, eat at restaurants and hang out at coffee shops. Kasi dun daw "safe". Namputsa, para lang akong nasa Maynila! I missed tk! Haaay.

I missed those trips. Magulo na sked naming lahat eh. We couldn't spend much time together sa loob ng bahay, much less, sa labas. Laging may mga lakad. Sana soon, we'll find the time again while my parents are still young enough to enjoy it with us.

Missing

I miss him. I don't know why. I miss him all the time. I miss him while talking about him. I miss him while talking to him. I miss him. *sigh*

Ho Chi Minh City

Alo! Greetings from Saigon! :)

Just random blabbing.

I've finally met the faces behind my Vietnamese contacts. Can I just rave how they are extremely nice? Hehehe! I even scored us (me and my officemate) a complimentary lunch earlier in one of the hotels I visited courtesy of this very, very nice gentleman that reminds me of Hiro Nakamura.

Then my officemate dragged me to her appointment with a prospective booth contractor. All throughout the meeting I was humming "She Bangs!" in my head. William Hung version. ^_^"

I had 8 meetings for this day. I started at 8am and finished by 5pm. Then after a few minutes of resting inside our hotel room and dining out, my officemate and I embarked the gruelling task of measuring the entire conference area. Kumusta naman yun natapos kami ng around 11ish.

Tiring day. Wednesday, i'll make the time. :P

I'm amused by their cultures. I really wanna buy those silky dresses and wear "salakot". I'm proclaiming this country the land of scooter boys and girls. Grabe. "Sagip-buhay laban sa mga scooter boys and girls advocacy" dito. Sila ang hari ng kalsada. Walang laban ang mga jeep ng Pinas. Panis.

Mas maraming meetings, mas maraming trip reports at follow-ups na due in 24 hrs. Yawn. I'm sleepy.

I miss my own bed. zzzz.

Email from boss at 6:53pm:
"I think the two ladies are grown up now – even if not yet 27 years. Why? I cannot make it to Vietnam till Wednesday. "

Wawa naman yun officemate ko. Panick mode siya. Lahat kasi ng appointment niya, she needs our boss to be around. Good for me though kasi yun mga appointments ko eh on my own lang so not much changes I need to deal with. Besides, I'm out-of-the-country and away from my boss! I couldn't ask for more! :p

...or maybe more time for rest will be nice....or more time to tour around the city. i wouldn't mind going around on my own. In fact, I pretty much preferred that. Hopefully, I'll find the chance. Parang cutting-classes lang ba. :p

O siye, random blabbing time over. Back to work. Darn.

Nonsense

Damn. I’m never good in dealing with Monday mornings. And if you’ve read all my past entries, you can tell this is so true. Anyway, I’m trying my very best to divert my attention so I would get past thru this lazy mode of mine.

I’ve got to warn you. This entry is going to be just a non-sense random blabbing. :)

Last Friday, we had a family dinner at The Fort: Lola, Kuya, Tita Jojo, Tita Edna, Tito Eddie, Tita Lita, Tito Johnny, Mom, Dad, Tita Laida, Tito Elmer, Tita Tess, Tito Terry, Tito Ren, Tita Cris, Tita Dinky, Tito Ross, my cousins Neil, Norene, Nia, Bonsing and me. Sobrang fun! It got most of us sentimental of course. It’ll be another indefinite number of years before Tito Ross’s family will be back here with us. One month is too short! :( It’s sad that they had to say their goodbye’s to Lola na. We’ll never know if our dear Lola’s still gonna be around the next time they come over. Sad. :( You see, closed talaga kami kahit na large family kami. Sobrang kulet nilang lahat na kapag pikon ka, iiyak ka and you’ll never want to go back to family get-together ever again. Hehe! But we’re affectionate. Imagine, inuman sessions of Titos with guy cousins. So typical inuman session, everyone’s makulet, maingay, mapang-asar. After that, goodbyes na. Guy cousins will even kiss (sa chick) or do mano to Titos before leaving. Then they’ll say, “Ingat kayo, Tito. Love you.” And these are the macho-looking guy cousins with their own little kids already. With my Dad’s bros and sisters, they say “I love you” to each other all the time. Nice noh? Hehehe! :)

What else to talk about? Hmmm. Ok, wala na muna ngayon. Baka in a while, meron ulet.

Damn, very nonsense entry. Hehehe!

Labu-labo

Sana may projects pa sya this season.

Ang ginaw..brrrr.... Magpa-Pasko na! Excited na ko magshopping for my 12 inaanaks. Yey!

Akalain mong may falls/mini river pala silang napupuntahan sa pinaghi-hiking-an namin??? Eh mas maraming beses pa ko naghiking sa mga batang yun pero why oh why wala kaming nakitang any body of water ng mga barkada kong athlete? (sarcasm intended. haha!) Note to self: mag-ipon ng pambili ng rubber shoes para makapagyaya ng hiking with TK.

My scolio and asthma have been enthusiastically reminding me of their presence lately. *regrets*

We are going to Bohol this Christmas vacation! I am so freakin' excited!!! Hello, Tarsiers! Hello Chocolate Hills! Goodbye, inaanaks! Nyehehehe!
Sana may magregalo sakin ng digicam this Christmas. Santa, are you there?

Sloth

tinatamad ako!!!!!
No, let me repeat that,
TINATAMAD AKO!!!!!

Gusto ko lang mag-stay sa bahay, tumambay. Ask tk to come over so we can just spend a lazy day watching DVDs or something.

Anyway, I want to learn how to play the guitar. Hmmm. Choose. Sige, note to self, I'll make time for that.

Friday na Friday parang haggard ako. I wonder why. I miss my family!

I'm missing a lot of people. I'm missing jac, yakie, rhyan, jay, jason, xenia, jeff, mau (dairy dose ba 'to?).

Scattered thoughts. Shit I'm bored. Ang dami kong gagawin pero I'm damn bored.

Ay hinde pala 'ko bored, TINATAMAD AKO!!! :(

Out of the Blue..Inside the Box

So glad you guys still find time to drop by.

I spent the past few months in Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn. Bilang isang dakilang practicumer. I've been to different departments, I've met new set of friends, most of them, I know, I'll be keeping in touch with for the rest of my life.

Experience, is indeed, the best teacher. I learned that your skills and your job can just get you so far, but the people you work with will give you enough strength and courage that can allow you to go even farther.

Hala! Wala pa akong prac report! Syet! 3 weeks to go! May Language Proficiency Exam pa! *Inhale..Exhale* Anxiety attack. Sorry.

Prac & More

Prac Days 1 & 2 were fun. Exhausting but enjoy naman. I was assigned in Crowne's HR Dep't - na walang bakas ng cell signal - (while Jac in Holiday Inn) and multi-tasking mode ito. Although may mga petiks moment, mas marami pa rin yung "Armine..could you please..?"

Name it, I've most probably done it.

10 hours/day. So 20 hours down. *whew!

Ayun, di ko na masyadong ie-elaborate kasi wala pa namang ganung ka-super exciting na naganap..except sa short moment I spent with my co-beauty queens...Miss Earth ang event kagabi eh. hehehe! And Jac hated me for not telling her na andun ako sa Ballroom.

*speechless* ...tas basta... and every second in between... *deep sigh*

Sunday night blabbing

I have a very bad news.. our Marinduque Escapade won't push thru!!! whaaaaa!!!!! Ang lungkot!!!! Ayan, kasi super excited si Ann, naudlot tuloy. Hehehe! Kailangan ko raw mag-research ng another affordable destination (read: cheap) for us on the last weekend of October. Where the hell is Zamabales-Capones Island, Ann Kristine??? I've got this funny feeling na mauuwi lang kami nun dito sa bahay ko, or basta within the vicinity of Rizal, as she strongly despised. Hehe! Wag naman sana!

Anyway, practicum day 1 tomorrow for me and Jac. I wonder kung saan department kami ma-a-assign? No housekeeping, oh heaven forbids! Sapat na ang AIM endeavors, perfected ko na ang beddings, thank you very much.

I watched HP3 premiere in HBO. Yey! Can't wait for HP4! Sana it's gonna be a tk event again. or betteryet, together with Fixed5, why not? This is one of the best Sundays ever! Kasi I had nothing to do but to sleep, food trips, and watch TV! Ang dream life ng gaya kong....errr... who appreciates the simple luxuries in life (a.k.a. tamad).

Oh well, it's another week! Woohoo!

on dreams and smiles

Napanaginipan ko yung mga roomates ko. Miss ko na sila lalo bigla. Whaaaa!!!

Hala!

Anyway, I just had the best conversation with you know who last night. Syet, I have this silly smile that I can't seem to get off my face. Ack, ang jahe!!! ;)

I'm Back!

Omg. It's been almost a year since I last updated this blog! I had actually forgotten all about this, if not to that Welcome letter I had accidentally came across in my e-mail, this might have remained dead forever. Harharhar! I've been to planet Mars, forgive me.

Perhaps you've been thinking that being the most recent entry after oh so many months, this one shall be quite long and chatty.. sorry, this is not the best time. I still have a paper to finish and finals to err.. review for. Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, I'm still stuck in school! Somebody please get my freaking ass outta here! Halp!

Ramblings

How can I earn some extra moolah? I went to the mall with my best friend, and another good friend, yesterday. Never been interested in shopping actually... until yesterday. I found myself having fun, for the first time in history, rummaging thru all those girly stuff as we made our trip from one boutique to another. Perhaps I've been spending too much time with guys already, hence the refreshing feeling of cooling the day off with the girls, for a change.

i wonder how my soulfriend's been doing now. We had this "dinner date" last week to catch up on things, and to once and for all clear our heads off from the stress this cruel world has been throwing in our directions lately. I hope she'll make the best decision in her dilemma.

I'll hit the mall (again) tomorrow because we're required to attend this certain show/exhibit in mega trade hall. I asked my boyfriend to go with me in case his plans with his college friends won't push thru. I'm quite sure he'll hit it off with Rhyan and Jac.

The house is so quiet when my brothers aren't home. I miss tormenting them. bwahahaha!
It's Law class again tomorrow. I miss Pao Kulet already! hehehe! I'm not really used to not seeing him so often.

I've been sleeping the whole day, how come I still have an all-time low energy?! Got to get my ass off this chair or I'll be dead bored for the rest of the night.

Humdrum

I watched the prime time news, and saw Atom doing his stunts there.... oh man.

Had the best time with my 104 groupmates earlier. We managed to pull it off together. We're still the best. hehe.. Jay had made my day. We always have a great time fooling around with this cool guy. You'll never think that there's a "generation gap" separating us.

Where the hell can I find that book, "Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus"? I've been wanting to shoved a copy of it into my boyfriend's hand..you got the drift?

This is one tiring day. Fun, tiring day.

School, Suicide and Scolio

I used to hate Mondays. Not anymore, or rather at least not as much as I used to. Even though this semester is really a hell lotta school loads for me, I don't mind at all. My friends make it more tolerable. They actually give me reasons to look forward to another day. (Have I lost my mind?!)

I got a news from my soulfriend. She told me about her friend's dad attempting suicide.... I was like.. whoa... *the sentences that followed had been hidden*

On the other news, I'm thinking of going for that stupid Pilates thingy that my friend (and my mom) is constantly prodding me. I feel like my scolio will strike its revenge sooner than later.
It's another day! Woohoo!
